Steve Foster, Kevin Sandwith and Chris Smith have all signed 1 year deals at Field Mill this week. Foster has returned to the club that he has supported since he was a young boy and is probably set to be the new captain. Whilst all these three are good signings we were dealt a blow midweek when Jon Shaw had his contract terminated by mutual consent because he wanted to be closer to his wife and child. It has took me 3 or 4 days but I’ve managed to find a new design for the site. It hasn’t got as many pretty pictures and colours as the old design. I decided to go for something quite simple this time, which will help with load times too. I’ve still got a few things to tweak but it should all run smoothly.
The banner has 4 images which rotate around on each page load you do. Nican45 has kindly let me use two pictures that he took when he visited Field Mill with Oxford last season, and I’ve managed to dig two others out that I have taken myself. Hopefully I’ll be able to come up with some decent graphics to make the blog posts a little better.
That is all for now, I’ll crack on with updating the blog itself. It has been a busy week at Field Mill!
To cut a long story short I’ve had to remove the majority of pictures from the site. So over the next few days I am going to find a new theme that doesn’t need pictures to look good. If you visit and the site is down or it looks strange then it’ll be me changing a few things around. Just pop back later and it should all be sorted. Fingers crossed I’ll have it sorted for the weekend!
