About the site..

I know there’s an about page on here but I thought it would be best off to start with a little about the site and my plans for it! Read on for more..

Always Amber is back but this time as a blog. I thought it would be good to put the site to use and do something decent with it!

The site is run on proper hosting and not some freebie website like last time. That means that the site is no longer restricted to what they install. I am free to do what I want and install what I want! That doesn’t mean a forum will be coming back though. It’s just going to be a blog this time and maybe a gallery if I can whip up enough interest for it.

I aim to make 2 or 3 blogs a week, hopefully I will get a few more people on board who will blog with me which will make the site pretty active. I will advertise them through twitter and other means. I am going to sign the site up for NewsNow which should help generate more views and interest as well.

As you may have seen there is a ‘Follow Me’ box on the right hand side of the screen. That is to follow me on Twitter. Every time a new blog is made on here that twitter page gets automatically updated with the link to the latest blog. Pretty nifty eh?

I’ve tried to choose a nice simple good looking layout that will appeal to people. I know that there aren’t a lot of pictures and it’s not the most colourful but I was weary of the loading times. I didn’t want to overload the site and slow it down as people would probably just close the window if it was taking a while to load.

If you wish to comment on any blogs simply leave your name, email address and your comment and press sumbit! Your first comment will need to be approved by me just so that I can clarify that you’re not a spammer! After that your comments will appear straight away.
