Gary Mills starts at Stevenage

2010 February 9
by Milnez

Gary Mills has made a shock return to the starting 11 tonight against his former club Stevenage Borough. Holdsworth has dropped Matt Somner in place of him.

His lastĀ appearanceĀ for us was against Altrincham at home in the FA Cup. He was loan listed 2 weeks ago and it seemed he was out of Holdsworths plans but obviously he has impressed in training. Kyle Nix makes his first start since his ankle injury which has kept him out for around 3 months. Kyle is a key player and it is great news that he is back fit for us. He isn’t starting in his normal position though. He’’s playing in a midfield 3.

The full team is as follows:

Marriott

Silk-Jones-Foster-Nicholas

Challinor-Mills-Nix

Shaw-Duffy-Perry

See what happens when you play Gary Mills. He was shocking at our place last year as well. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

I think it’s a bit unfair to blame our loss on Gary Mills! It’s not his fault. Not played a game for 4months then suddenly gets started away at a team 2nd in the table!

We need a bit of stability in our starting 11 instead of chopping and changing it all the time!
