Gateshead Team News

The stags have almost a full squad to choose from for Saturday’s home game against Gateshead. The game is getting alot of attention for being a ‘pay what you want to watch’ game which will hopefully result in an increased attendance and a good atmosphere to cheer the team on to what should be three points.  After the stags defeated Gateshead in the return fixture, they will be hoping to record a double against the tyneside outfit which would keep up their play-off push and put them back to winning ways following the midweek defeat away at Wrexham.

The stags welcome back Kyle Nix, Jon Shaw and Blair Sturrock who all missed the Wrexham game and it will be a first game in over three months for stags midfielder Kyle Nix after suffering an ankle injury which he picked up in a training ground incident. Jon Shaw is also in contention for a home debut after his short appearance in the away game at AFC Wimbledon.  Ryan Williams is also fit for the game after suffering a head injury in the Wrexham game which lead to him being replaced. The only absentee for the game is Andy Burgess who continues his one month ban.
