Paul Heckingbottom joins Gateshead on loan

2010 February 1
by Milnez

Paul Heckingbottom has today joined Gateshead on loan until the end of the season.  The reason is that Heckingbottom wants to play regular first team football and David Holdsworth has said that he can’t be offered that at Field Mill. It seems that Gateshead can offer him regular first team football so David Holdsworth has allowed him to leave after saying that it would benefit both the player and both clubs.

Heckingbottom joins Daryl Clare by joining Gateshead after the striker signed for them a few weeks ago. After joining Mansfield Town in the summer, Paul Heckingbottom has made 15 appearences scoring one goal. As the stags face Gateshead on Saturday, Heckingbottom will not be allowed to play due to an agreement between the two clubs.
